Xiaomi Mi Band 4 to launch in India on September 17

Xiaomi is hosting a ‘Smarter Living’ event in India on September 17 where it is expected to launch a new TV. However, the company is teasing the upcoming launch via its social media channels and it has posted a new image for it on Twitter, which suggests that alongside a new TV, Xiaomi could introduce the Mi Band 4 in India on September 17. The image simply says Smarter Living 2020 but the second ‘I’ in ‘Living; is replaced by what looks like the Mi Band 4, which is called the Mi Smart Band 4 outside China. This is more or less a confirmation that the Mi Band 4 will be launched in India on September 17.

The Mi Band 4 is a fitness wearable that features a 0.95-inch AMOLED display with a 120 x 240p resolution. The device sports up to 5ATM water resistance and has up to 400nits of brightness that can also be adjusted. Equipped with a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, PPG heart rate sensor and a capacitive proximity sensor, the Mi Band 4 features six workout modes that include treadmill, exercise, outdoor running, cycling, walking, and swimming. The device also notifies users about workout completion, goal setting, heart rate and sleep monitoring.
