Xiaomi recently announced a slew of new devices in India at its Smarter Living 2020 event. Alongside the Mi TV 4X range and the Mi Smart Water Purifier, the company announced its new Mi Smart Band 4 wearable in the country. As the name suggests, the Mi Smart Band 4 succeeds the Mi Band 3 but unlike its predecessor, the new fitness tracker comes equipped with a colour AMOLED display, and sports some new features. The Mi Band 4 also supports ‘unlimited’ watch faces and is 5ATM water-resistant, up to 50 metres.
Mi Smart Band 4 specificationsThe Mi Smart Band 4 sports a 0.95-inch colour AMOLED display that features a 120 x 240p resolution. The display’s colour depth is 24 bit and it can attain up to 400 nits of max brightness. There’s a single touch button on the device that is used to wake up the wearable and go back to the previous screen. The device features a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope and a PPG heart rate sensor, along with a capacitive proximity sensor. It can track six workout modes that include treadmill, exercise, outdoor running, cycling, walking, swimming, along with additional features like step count, distance walked and calories burned.
The Mi Smart Band 4 also features health monitoring options like heart rate monitoring, all-day heart rate checking, resting heart rate, heart rate chart, idle alerts, sleep monitoring, goal settings and more. The wearable connects to a compatible device over Bluetooth 5.0 BLE and pairs with the Mi Fit app to display detailed stats. It is backed by a 135mAh battery that can apparently be charged in under two hours and is touted to deliver a 20-day battery life.
Mi Smart Band 4 price and availabilityThe Mi Smart Band 4 is priced at Rs 2,299 and it will go on sale today at 12PM via Amazon and Mi.com. The device’s straps are also exchangeable, come in five colours and can also be used with the Mi Band 3 and vice versa.
