Chinese technology giant Lenovo is expected to unveil its most powerful Yoga 2-in-1 notebook, the Yoga C930, at IFA Conference, which will take place from August 31 - September 5 in Berlin. According to a report, Lenovo will adopt a new nomenclature for its top-of-the-line laptops and is expected to carry an alphabet with the numeric model number.
The notebook is said to be available in an even more expensive version with a glass cover on the display lid.The Yoga C930 will be an upgrade to the Yoga 920 that the company unveiled last year at IFA. As per the report on winfuture.de, the Yoga C930 will have a 13.9-inch IPS display with 4K resolution (3840x2160 pixels). The touch-sensitive screen can be rotated 360-degrees on a new "Watchband" hinge, which consists of several small wires. Just like last year, the model is expected to support the Lenovo Active Pen for handwriting input. Under the hood, the laptop could come with the Intel Core i7-8550U (or an Intel Core i5-8250U) "Kaby Lake" refresh series chipsets.
The i5 is expected to operate at a base clock of 1.6 gigahertz and a maximum of 3.4 GHz. The i7 model can base clock 1.8 GHz and can reach up to 4.0 GHz. The laptops could be offered with at least 8GB RAM and a maximum of 16GB RAM, and SSDs with 256GB or 512GB on board. The Lenovo Yoga C930 (with Glass display) is said to offer a USB A port that supports USB 3.1, two USB-C ports with support for Thunderbolt 3 and a 3.5mm jack. It is expected to come with Bluetooth 4.1, and a 720p webcam above the display. The basic version of Yoga C930 may weight 1.38kg and cost around 1600 euros (approx 1.27 lakh).
