Spotify is offering its annual subscription plan for Rs 999 for the rest of 2020

Spotify is once again offering discounted annual subscription plans for users in India. While the discount isn’t as hefty as before, you still get to save Rs 429. The usual price of the annual subscription plan is Rs 1,118, but Spotify is offering a 30 percent discount ahead of the Black Friday weekend. You only pay Rs 999 for a 12-month subscription.

The offer can be availed right now and will be available till the end of this year, i.e till December 31. The discount this year is going to remain available for longer. Last year, the discounted annual subscription plan was available for four weeks. This year, it’s open for six weeks.

Spotify is now offering its annual subscription plan for Rs 999

Needless to say, if you end up listening to music and podcasts on the popular Swedish streaming app, this is the best time to get a subscription. The offer is available for both first-time subscribers and regular users. Spotify also offers an ad-riddled free streaming service, but here's what you get when you go premium.

Sadly though, the discount is only available for the annual plan. Spotify also offers Duo, Family and Student plans on a monthly basis. These plans have no change in their prices. The Duo plan is available for Rs 149 per month, the Family Plan for Rs 179 per month and the Student plan for Rs 59 per month. There’s also a solo plan for Rs 119 per month. First time subscribers will get a 30-day free trial before the subscription starts.

Spotify is not alone in slashing subscription rates for the holiday season. It’s closest rival, Apple Music is offering three months of subscription for the price of one, i.e Rs 99 per month. And in this case, the discount is available only for individual plans and not for family and student plans.
