Realme 7 5G has made its global debut bringing 5G connectivity to the Realme 7 series that was launched in September in India. The Realme 7-series lineup now consists of the Realme 7i, Realme 7, Realme 7 5G and Realme 7 Pro that was all launched between September and October in India. With the new phone, Realme wants to bring 5G connectivity to more affordable smartphones.
The Realme 7 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor, offers a high refresh rate and has quad cameras on the back. It has been introduced for the European markets for now but there is no word on when the phone will reach other regions. Let’s take a brief look at the specifications and pricing of the new Realme 7 5G.
Realme 7 5G specifications and pricingRealme 7 5G features a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) resolution display that has a punch-hole cutout in the top-left corner and supports 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass for added protection against regular wear and tear. The phone measures 9.1 millimetres in thickness and weighs 195 grams and is being offered in a single Baltic Blue colour option.
The Realme 7 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor with support for 5G connectivity. The 800U is an octa-core CPU with Mali-G57 GPU and is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is an option to expand the storage further by using a microSD card with the phone running on Realme UI 1.0 out-of-the-box.
Realme 7 5G features a quad-camera setup on the back that consists of a primary 48MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera with 119-degree field of view, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera housed within the notch cutout.
The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint reader and is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging out-of-the-box. Realme claims that the phone can go from 0-100% in 65 minutes.
Realme 7 5G is priced at Euro 279 for the single 6GB/128GB model making it the most affordable 5G phone in Europe. There’s no word whether the company is planning to launch the phone in India as well.
