The Mass Effect: Legendary Edition compiles the single-player base content and additional DLC from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, along with all the promotional items (weapons, armours and packs). The collection will be coming with multiple visual enhancements including overhauled textures, character models, shaders and effects, all optimized to run at 4K UHD resolutions. This again translates to higher, smoother framerates on the next-gen consoles. Mass Effect’s more recent venture - Andromeda, will not be a subject of this remaster. Released in 2017, the game was not well-received by critics or fans alike, owing to major technical hiccups in both graphical and gameplay aspects.
Additionally, BioWare has also confirmed that a veteran team has been working hard on the next instalment in the Mass Effect series. The project is still in its early stages of development, and any updates on the matter will be shared in the future. Early last month, BioWare’s long-trusted publisher, Electronic Arts had also announced a remaster for the critically-acclaimed Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, of which you can check out further details here.
