Considering the number of gadgets that are sold during the festive season online, there are bound to be some mishaps. A shipment can get delayed, a product can get damaged, or you receive the wrong product. However, what Bhavye Sharma faced, was that he got a fake product. He has uploaded his encounter in a detailed video on YouTube, where he runs through the device he claims to have received and decipherers why he thinks it is a fake iPhone 11 Pro. You can check out that video below.
As you can see from the video above, he has unboxed the phone already and begins highlighting the metal ring surrounding the camera. Nothing fishy so far. He next goes on to highlight the inside of the EarPods which is blue in the product he received. Moving on, he goes on to highlight the USB cable that comes with the smartphone. While he begins highlighting the quality of the cable itself, the biggest red flag is the fact that the iPhone 11 Pro comes with a USB-C cable in the box and the cable which is being highlighted is USB-A. The power plug on the other hand is a USB-C plug, which one gets with an iPhone 11 Pro.
He then talks about the air-bubbles beneath the display protector. When was the last time you got an iPhone with a display protector? Next, he goes on to point out that even without a SIM card he can see some value being hidden by the notch. Next, he goes on to scroll through the app store on the phone.
He then starts cycling through the apps on the home screen one by one to show whether the UI is what is expected of the app on an iPhone. When opening the camera app, he highlights how the zoom barely does anything on the phone. A big red flag is when he opens the Maps app, it opens Google Maps instead of Apple Maps.
We have reached out to Bhavye Sharma to get more details from him and also to Flipkart. We will update this story once we get a response from either of them.
