Apple Music is now available on Alexa in India. The popular music service is now available on all Amazon Alexa devices here. Anyone with an Apple Music subscription can listen to music on their Echo devices with Alexa via the platform. To get Apple Music to work on Alexa-powered devices, users need to go to the Settings menu in the Alexa app and select Apple Music from the 'add new music source' option. Once it is done, users will be able to access songs from Apple Music and play them on any Alexa powered device.
IApple Music subscribers can now enjoy Apple Music’s 50 million songs on Amazon’s full range of Echo devices. Customers will be able to ask Alexa to play their favourite songs, artists, and albums—or any of the playlists curated by Apple Music’s editors from around the world, covering many activities, moods, and genres.
According to Amazon, Apple Music subscribers will now be able to ask Alexa to stream radio stations centered on popular local genres like Bollywood, Telugu, Punjabi and more.
Recently, Amazon officially announced support for Hindi on Alexa. The company talked about the unique contextual, cultural, and content-related challenges that Hindi implementation posed for Alexa. Users can now deliver commands to Alexa in Hindi, and the virtual assistant would respond in the same language.
To recall, Alexa now supports variants of about 15 languages including Spanish, German, French and more.
Amazon claims it offers Indian customers over 30,000 skills including Bollywood, education, cricket and more. As of now, Alexa is available across Amazon products like Echo Dot, Echo Plus and more, and over 35 devices from companies like Motorola, Sony, iBall and LG.
