Redmi recently launched its Redmi Note 8 series of smartphones in China that consists of the Redmi Note 8 and á¹he Redmi Noá¹e 8 Pro. The new Redmi Note 8 Pro has also bagged the title of being the first smartphone with a 64MP camera, while the standard Note 8 sports a 48MP main sensor. The company’s India MD, Manu Kumar Jain, has now announced that the handsets will be introduced in India within a span of eight weeks. Jain says that the company requires the said amount of time to get its new device certified and tested in India for an official launch.
While we expected Xiaomi to soon launch the Redmi Note 8 series in India, it seems like Realme could best the company when it comes to launching new devices. The Realme 5 series of smartphones were recently launched in India and the company’s CEO, Madhav Sheth, said that Realme XT with a 64MP camera will launch by September end in India. If this comes to pass, chances are that Realme will beat Xiaomi in launching a 64MP camera smartphone in India.
