It has officially been revealed that a 5G successor of the Redmi K20 is coming soon, and it will be called the Redmi K30. The announcement was made on August 25 by Lu Weibing, Redmi General Manager, on his Weibo page.
Weibing took to the Chinese microblogging site Weibo to announce the name of the K20’s successor. He also revealed that the Redmi K30 will have 5G support. Although it is rather exciting news, not much is known about the Redmi K30 right now. The company is yet to confirm the launch timeline, however, we can expect it to launch sometime near May 2020.
We don’t know if the Redmi K30 will have both 4G and 5G models or only a 5G version. However, the Redmi K30 is likely to come with two connectivity options. The device is expected to follow the same strategy as the Redmi K20 series, and include the flagship chipset.
