Currently, only a few users have got an option to try out the updated interface and the company has asked these testers to share a feedback. The new interface includes several key features, like an emoji button, quick keyboard shortcuts, an upgraded trends space, advanced search, among others. According to the video shared on Twitter, the new interface is seen having a large, dedicated button in the tweet box to let users add an emoji easily. The updated trending section appears on the right-hand side of the page, and there is a cleaner interface that makes it easier to see the conversation. Overall, the interface has now been divided into two columns from the previous three-column articulation. The news follows reports that said that the company is working on improving the user experience on the iOS and Android apps by introducing new features on the platform. For the testing of those features, Twitter will reportedly release a separate beta app. The first version of the new beta is said to introduce new designs for how conversations take place on Twitter. This will include varying colour schemes and highlighting important replies. There is also a mention of an algorithm, which is said to be deployed by Twitter to display the timeline so users can sort replies to a tweet. Replies from the people one follows might be displayed on top. Finally, the company might be looking to simplify the app for those who don’t want to deal with additional options by hiding the hearts button to like Tweets and the icons for retweeting. These options are said to show up only when one taps on replies.
