Samsungs most affordable Galaxy S10 variant may be called Galaxy S10 Lite: Report

A lot of reports have claimed that Samsung may follow Apple and launch multiple variants of the Galaxy S10 smartphones -- an ultra-premium handset, a premium one and an affordable device. A new development hints that the previous reports had some veracity and claims that the South Korean company will launch three variants of the Galaxy S10. Though there are reports claiming of a fourth ‘5G’ model but the latest leak claims that the due to absence of 5G infrastructure, Samsung may not walk down that road or might release the phone in limited markets. According to wccftech, the most affordable Galaxy S10 is expected to be called the Galaxy S10 Lite, which may sport a single rear camera. 

The second model could be the regular Galaxy S10 with a dual-rear-camera. Both of these phones are reported to feature a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display. The third and the most premium of the lot may be called the Galaxy S10 Plus that might ship with a 6.44-inch Super OLED display and may offer a triple-camera sensor setup at the back. All these models are expected to have a 19:9 aspect ratio. Recently, a leak claimed that the Galaxy S10 variant with three rear cameras could retain the regular 12MP sensor that the company has been incorporating in its previous flagship devices. 

The 12MP lens is expected to have 1.4µm-sized pixels and a dual aperture (f/1.5 and f/2.4). The telephoto lens may have a 13MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 1.0µm pixels. Both these lenses will reportedly have Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) like the previous generation of the flagships. The third ultra-wide camera is reported to have a 16MP sensor with a 123-degree field of view. Further, all these devices are expected to be powered by either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8150/855, or Samsung’s Exynos 9820 processor which are expected to be made on the 7nm FinFET technology, resulting in better power efficiency and performance. Earlier, DJ Koh, Samsung's President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, in an event in China said that the company would introduce an ultrasonic sensor in its Galaxy S10 devices to offer a better user experience.
