OnePlus 6T will go on sale online and offline starting November 2, company announces experiential pop-ups across 9 cities in India

The OnePlus 6T is days away from launch and is arriving in India on October 30. The smartphone will be an Amazon exclusive for those who want to purchase it online and will also be available offline, exclusively through Reliance Digital stores. However, as always, OnePlus will be hosting multiple pop-up events across India to promote the new OnePlus 6T and give buyers a chance to experience the smartphone before purchasing it. For the same, OnePlus has announced OnePlus 6T pop-up shops across 9 cities and 13 locations in India. The OnePlus 6T pop-ups will sprout up from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm IST on November 2, in various locations across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Jaipur. The exact details of these locations can be found here. Globally, these pop-ups will be held in Europe, North America, India and China in premium locations across 32 cities in total. Apart from getting a look and feel of the device, there’s some more incentive for those walking into the OnePlus 6T pop-up shops in the form of exclusive OnePlus merchandise like phone covers, bumpers, OnePlus Sketchbook, OnePlus ‘Never Settle’ T-shirts and OnePlus tote bags for early-bird attendees. While the OnePlus 6T goes on sale starting November 2, customers can currently pre-book the device on Amazon.in by buying an e-Gift Card worth Rs 1,000. Those who pre-book the OnePlus 6T will receive a pair of OnePlus Type-C Bullets earphones worth Rs 1,490 along with an additional Rs 500 in the form of Amazon Pay Balance on completion of the purchase of the OnePlus 6T. OnePlus claims that it received 400 crores worth of bookings in 36 hours during the first wave of the Amazon Great Indian Festival, which is returning for a second round on October 24. Other exclusive offers for online buyers include - cashbacks on credit and debit card transactions, no-cost EMIs for 3 months, and free damage protection for 12 months from Kotak Servify. As far as the specs of the OnePlus 6T are concerned, its USP will be the in-display fingerprint sensor that the company has been heavily teasing on social media. The smartphone will feature a Snapdragon 845 chipset and a Waterdrop Notch on the display. Apart from screen size and storage, the rest of the hardware of the OnePlus 6T is expected to be the same as the OnePlus 6, but it remains to be seen what OnePlus does with software optimisation and if it finally jumps on the AI bandwagon like all other smartphone-makers.
