In June, Motorola launched the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play and it’s only October that specs of the next device in line, the Moto G7, are leaked. According to an image leaked online, the Moto G7 is said to feature a 6.4-inch display with a teardrop notch. What’s noteworthy is that the Moto G-series did not adopt the iPhone-inspired notch and is leapfrogging to arguably the smallest style of notch present today.
The Moto G7 is expected to launch late in the first half of 2019 and we could see a bunch changes as we move closer to the unveiling. Citing the image, HowToTechNaija.com reports that the smartphone will feature a Full HD+ display with a 2340 x 1080 resolution. It is reported to house a 3500mAh battery unit. There is not much information on the processor but the report claims that the Moto G7 could be powered by a Snapdragon 600 series processor with 4GB RAM that has been paired with 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card.
The image also details a 16MP+5MP dual-rear camera, along with a front 12MP selfie shooter. The smartphone may run on Android Pie 9.0, and there will be a fingerprint sensor but no word on the location. Motorola may opt for an in-display sensor but it is likely that it will be located on the back panel.
The company recently announced the Moto G6 Plus, a mid-range smartphone that features an 18:9 display, sans the notch. It features a 5.9-inch Full HD+ display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. In terms of optics, the device features a 12MP+5MP rear camera setup with f/1.7 aperture lens and Dual Pixel autofocus.
On the front is an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 80-degree lens. The device is backed by a 3,200mAh battery and supports the company’s TurboPower fast charging technology.
