Fortnite Battle Royale can now be downloaded on any Android phone without an invitation

Fortnite Battle Royale on Android is now finally available for everyone. The developer of the title, Epic Games, has announced that the title's Android version is now available to everyone with a compatible device. Before this, the game was available only through invites. To find out if the game is compatible with a particular device, one can visit the FAQ section on its official website. The developer also notes that the game should work on other devices that are not included in the list, however, it has given a list of minimum recommended requirements. To run Fortnite, a device should be running on Android 8.0 or higher, have at least 3GB RAM and in terms of GPU, needs to come equipped with at least Adreno 530 or higher, or Mali-G71 MP20, Mali-G72 MP12 or higher. To recall, Fortnite Battle Royale for Android was announced back in August and was exclusively available for Samsung devices for three days. Fortnite is already available on iOS devices from some time though. To know how to download and play Fortnite on your Android device, click here.  Epic Games recently updated Fortnite to Season 6. The update brought with it a slew of gameplay changes such as new outfits, pets, along with some map changes. Players can now unlock and choose between three new pets, namely Bonse, Scales and Camo. These pets are passive and will not affect the gameplay itself, but will react to different situations. Map changes include a large floating island located above loot lake and there are also Shadow Stones that grant temporary invisibility to players.  Recently, Sony announced that it was finally allowing cross-platform play on Fortnite between PlayStation 4 players and those on other platforms. This would allow PlayStation 4 players to game with Xbox One and PC players. Sony noted that this was still in open beta and the company was open on making more titles cross-platform compatible. No invite needed - download the Fortnite Beta now on any compatible Android device
