Xiaomi recently announced its Redmi 6 series of smartphones in India - Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and the Redmi 6 Pro (review). Today, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 smartphone will be available for purchase via a flash sale that at 12PM on Flipkart and Mi.com. The smartphone features an 18:9 display aspect ratio and comes equipped with a dual-rear camera setup. Alongside the Redmi 6, the Redmi 5A will also be up for grabs on Flipkart and Mi.com. It is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 SoC and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Xiaomi’s own MIUI 9.6 on top.
The handset features a hybrid dual-SIM slot for two SIMs and a third dedicated slot for the microSD card. Coming to the optics, the Redmi 6 comes equipped with a 12MP+5MP dual-rear camera setup. The dual-SIM device runs on MIUI 9 layered on top of Android 7.1 Nougat and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

Coming to the Redmi 5A, it will be available in a 2GB RAM/16GB storage model, which is priced at Rs 5,999. The 3GB RAM/32GB ROM variant of the smartphone costs Rs 6,999.
