Vivo V11 Pro with 641-inch teardrop notch, in-display fingerprint scanner launched in India at Rs 25,990

After weeks of teasing its upcoming smartphone, Vivo today launched its V11 Pro smartphone in India. The handset was already unveiled in Thailand so we already knew what hardware it comes with, however, key features of the new device include a ‘waterdrop’ notch display and an in-display fingerprint sensor, which was also seen on Vivo's X21 smartphone. The new V11 Pro features a 19:9 display aspect ratio, which the company calls a “Halo FullView Display.” Here is a quick look at the specs and price of the Vivo V11 Pro. Vivo V11 Pro specifications The Vivo V11 Pro features a 6.41-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It sports a 91.27% display aspect ratio with a ‘teardrop’ notch and the company says that it features the biggest display yet on the V series of handsets. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It comes with a 4th generation in-display fingerprint scanner, which is said to be 50 percent more accurate than the Vivo Nex. One can choose between different types of unlock animations to unlock the device and can also set an app to boot when a fingerprint is recognised. The device also supports Face Unlock with the help of an infrared sensor.  Coming to the optics, the Vivo V11 Pro features a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup and the 12MP main sensor comes with f/1.8 aperture and 1.28μm pixel size. The rear camera supports Dual Pixel technology that is said to help capture more details in an image and it can also detect various scenes, thanks to an AI-based algorithm. On the front is a 25MP ‘AI’ selfie camera that comes with AI Face Shaping feature, which is similar to the Beauty Mode seen on many other smartphones. There is also a ‘FunMoji’ option, which is a similar feature as Animoji on the iPhone X.  The handset is backed by a 3400mAh battery and the company has added “Dual Engine Fast Charging,” which is said to top-up the device considerably faster than its predecessor.  Vivo V11 Pro price and availability  The Vivo V11 Pro comes with 6GB RAM, coupled with 64GB of internal storage and is priced at Rs 25,990. It comes in Dazzling Gold and Starry Night colour options and is now up for pre-bookings. It will go on sale starting September 12 via online and offline channels.  Under the launch offers, HDFC customers can avail a Rs 2,000 cashback on purchasing the smartphone via their credit or debit cards. Jio is offering benefits of up to Rs 4,050 for their users and Vivo has also announced a one-time screen replacement offer with the handset.
