Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 leaks show smartphone with triple rear-camera setup

An image of the alleged Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) has been leaked on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, which shows the back panel the device. The image suggests that the phone might sport triple-rear cameras.

Following this leak, image claimed to be press renders of the device are also circulating online. These renders show the same triple rear-camera alignment as it is seen on the Weibo image, potentially giving users a sneak peak on what Samsung could offer in the Samsung Galaxy S10 flagship next year. If the renders are to be believed, the Galaxy A7 (2018) could be the first offering from the South Korean giant to offer triple-camera on the back.

According to the leaked images, Samsung could offer the smartphone in Black and Blue colours. There is no fingerprint sensor on the device so it is possible that the smartphone could feature a side-mounted sensor. No specs have been revealed in the leaks, but a report claims that the smartphone could have same specs as the Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) that was launched in India in January.

Source The Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) was launched in India at Rs 32,999. The phone sports dual front-facing cameras with an Infinity Display design and sports an 18.5:9 display aspect ratio. It features a 6-inch Super AMOLED display and is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7885 SoC with 6GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It houses a 3500mAh battery and is IP68 water and dust-resistant. Samsung recently said that it is ready to unveil more mid-segment smartphones and gain a lion’s share in the Indian market this festive season.

DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics, said, “Since early this year, I have changed my strategy for the Indian market. You will see devices coming from us in the mid-segment space with flagship features and functionalities. The fourth quarter (October-December) will see some exciting launches that will alter the course of the mid-segment market.”
