OnePlus 6 Carbon Edition makes the iPhone Xs Max look affordable

OnePlus is very well known to bring flagship level hardware and performance down to an affordable price. While premium flagships these days are surpassing the Rs 1 lakh mark, the latest OnePlus flagship, the OnePlus 6 (review) is comparatively modestly priced starting at 34,999. However, if you want a more premium OnePlus smartphone, luxury smartphone maker Hadoro has a OnePlus 6 Carbon edition up for pre-order at a not-so-modest Euro 2,700 (Rs 2.27 lakhs approx)! In comparison, the 512GB variant of the recently announced Apple iPhone Xs Max will cost you less at Rs 1,44,900.

What’s special about the OnePlus 6 Carbon is that its rear panel is made entirely of carbon fiber. Hadoro made the rear panel with two types of fiber composite material that form 36 layers. These layers are made up of aero carbon composite material, sapphire glass and G10 composite material, along with layers of aircraft aluminium.

The OnePlus logo has been made using luminous sapphire glass, which is scratch proof, glows in the dark and is said to draw minimal battery. For a premium appearance, the rear panel features Damascus steel wave-like pattern design and the buttons are made of black anodized aluminium.

The company modifies and ships the 256GB variant of the OnePlus 6 and rest of its specifications are the same. Those who pre-order the smartphone can also get their name, initials or motto engraved on it, as per their liking. The device will be shipped in 10 days and the company is also providing complementary worldwide shipping.

The description of the limited edition smartphone on Hadoro’s website reads, “An exclusively crafted piece, this case features an innovative in-house developed type of carbon fiber – made of 36 layers of carbon fiber and layers of aircraft aluminium. Specially manufactured by Hadoro, this material showcases unmatched strength and beauty in its own distinct design.

A visible wave-like pattern adorns the back panel, and the frame has a steel-specked look. A glowing One Plus logo made of sapphire glass completes its cool, modern aesthetic.” Additionally, the OnePlus 6 Carbon is unlocked to work with any network carrier around the world. It measures 155.7 x 75.4 x 8.75 mm and weighs 188gm.
