Vivo is all set to launch its latest smartphone, the Vivo V11 in India on September 6. The company has sent out a launch invite that reads, “Experience the 11 on 06.09.2018” and even though the smartphone isn't mentioned directly, the statement and the reference to an under-display fingerprint sensor in the invite hints at the Vivo V11 launch. Some images of the upcoming phone have also leaked and it seems that the Vivo V9 successor could feature a ‘waterdrop’ notch design and come with a vertically stacked dual-rear camera setup.
The images were posted by Hi-Tech Mail and Tech Onliner, and along with the design, the report also sheds some light on the specs of the handset. Both the reports hint that the Vivo V11 could feature a more compact design as compared to its predecessor. It could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and come with up to 6GB RAM, coupled with 128GB of internal storage. It could feature a 6.41-inch full-HD+ screen with a 1080 x 2340p resolution and a 19.5:9 display aspect ratio. If the images are to be believed, the handset will sport an essential phone like notch that takes up minimal space on the top of the display as there is only a camera sensor housed inside.
The V11 is expected to launch running on Android 8.1 Oreo and could be backed by a 3400mAh battery that will reportedly support company’s yet to be announced updated fast charging technology. The Vivo V11 is tipped to feature a dual-rear camera setup with a 12MP + 5MP sensor and on the front, it could sport a 25MP camera. As mentioned earlier, the launch invite sent by the company hints at the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor on the device and rumours are that the V11 will be one of the most affordable smartphones to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
