Expanding its tablet footprint in the country, Samsung India has launched Galaxy Tab A 10.5 with Dolby Atmos-powered quad-speakers. The speakers are located on the both right and left edges of the tablet ,with each edge incorporating two speakers. The new Galaxy Tab A has a 10.5-inch WUXGA TFT LCD display with 16:10 aspect ratio and 1920×1200 resolution featuring a 76.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is priced at Rs 29,990 and will be available on Samsung Online Shop and Flipkart, as well as at leading offline retail stores, in Ebony Black and Urban Blue colours starting August 13. Customers can pre-book the tablet on Flipkart from August 9. With the purchase of the Galaxy Tab A 10.5, Jio 4G customers would be entitled to get instant cashback of Rs 2,750 on recharging with the Rs 198 or Rs 299 plan. Customers will also get double-data benefits on every recharge for the next four recharges, Samsung announced. The Galaxy Tab A sports an 8MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and flash, and a 5MP front shooter with F/2.2 aperture. It houses a massive 7,300 mAh battery, which Samsung claims, delivers up to 14.5 hours of video playback. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.8Ghz. this is paired with a 3GB RAM and 32GB of onboard memory (microSD up to 400GB). It runs on Android Oreo 8.0, and features LTE support and SmartThings IoT solution so that users can control their home appliances with a tap. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also has a Kids Mode which is designed to make learning simple and fun for children. The Kids Mode empowers parents to control and manage the tablet's usage time and ensure that their children consume only age-appropriate content. “Galaxy Tab A 10.5’ is Samsung’s latest addition to the tablet line-up and comes with capabilities that make life easier and more entertaining for the whole family. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 also features Samsung’s Always-On-Daily Board which is intended to give a bulletin board-like experience. The tablet can be connected to a Charging Dock for the Always-on-Daily Board experience and with it, users will be able to access important information, whether it is local weather or family photos. Consumers can also use Multi-User Mode on the tablet to create multiple accounts on the device.
