OPPO Find X now on sale exclusively on Flipkart

The recently launched OPPO flagship smartphone Find X is now on available for purchase online. It is being sold as a Flipkart-exclusive for a price of Rs 59,990. Holders of an Axis Bank Buzz credit card can avail an instant discount of 10 percent at the time of payment. Buyers willing to trade in an older smartphone can get up to Rs 5,000 off on the total amount. Buyers can also choose to pay cash on delivery and avail a no-cost EMI option starting from Rs 9,999.

The OPPO Find X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and an Adreno 630 GPU. What makes the device special is its unconventional camera setup, which rests inside a separate motorised unit that pops up every time the camera app is launched or a face unlock must be done.

The camera on the back includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor. The camera on the front is a 25-megapixel sensor. The company claims that it’s carried out a variety of tests on the pop-up camera setup and is not susceptible to any physical damages unless the user really intends to cause some. The battery on the OPPO Find X is a sufficiently large 3,730mAh unit with support for VOOC fast charging.

OPPO claims that the smartphone can charge from 0 to 100 percent in just 35 minutes. The display on the Find X is a 19.5:9 6.4-inch HD+ OLED panel with 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Find X runs ColorOS 5.1, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo, with a fair amount of pre-installed bloatware.

The OPPO Find X smartphone is available in only one variant: 8GB of RAM with 256GB of inbuilt storage. In terms of storage, this is double of what its nearest competitor, the Vivo NEX, offers. The Vivo NEX is the only other smartphone in the market as of now to feature an all-display design and a pop-up camera.

This design is an effort made towards increasing screen-to-body ratio, and only time will tell if more models in the future will feature such a design.
