Expanding its Q series portfolio, LG Electronics has launched the LG Q7 smartphone that comes with features like IP68 water and dust resistance, MIL-STD 810G certified for durable build, portrait mode, QLens and DTS: X 3D Surround Sound, The smartphone comes in only one variant of 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant and is priced at Rs 15,990.
The handset will be available across all leading retail outlet stores in Aurora Black and Moroccan Blue colours starting from September 1. “We are happy to introduce new smartphones in our best-selling Q series. LG Q7 is a balanced smartphone with the latest premium features like in recently introduced LG G7+ThinQ. The Q7 is a great combination of features, design, performance and price. We are confident that the consumers who are looking for a balanced smartphone with the premium features will find the LG Q7 very hard to resist,” Advait Vaidya, Business Head- Mobiles, LG India, said in a statement. LG Q7 specifications: The LG Q7 comes equipped with a 2.5D Arc Glass design with rounded-edges and there is a metal back panel.
It features a 5.5-inch Full HD+ FullVision Display (2160 x 1080 / 442ppi) with an 18:9 aspect ratio. There is a 'Smart Rear Key' fingerprint sensor located below the camera lens that doubles up as the camera shutter button, or it can be used to take screenshots and control the notification bar. In terms of optics, the LG Q7 features an 8MP Wide Angle Lens on the front and comes with a 13MP camera on the rear with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) technology.
The smartphone is equipped with Q-Lens, a camera AI feature that till now was only available on LG’s premium smartphones. Leveraging AI technology for image recognition, QLens lets users use the camera to improve the image searching and online shopping experience. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6750S octa-core processor, which is clocked at 1.5GHz and runs Android Oreo OS.
LG claims that the Q7 is also the first in its price range to offer DTS:X to deliver virtual 3D surround sound and up to 7.1 channel audio through headphones. The Q7 is backed by a 3000mAh battery that the company claims can be charged to 60 percent in about 60 minutes.
