Google’s woes with regards to their upcoming flagship, the Google Pixel 3XL continue to grow. After repeated leaks of the Google Pixel 3XL, the phone has now received the professional unboxing treatment on YouTube. The video comes courtesy a Ukrainian YouTube user named Распаковываем who has put up the first professional unboxing video of the Google Pixel 3XL. The video starts with soft music and lacks any voice over. However, a hand model neatly unboxes the phone, revealing a white coloured Pixel 3XL which seems to be larger than last year’s model. The unboxing also reveals a pair of bundled USB-C earbuds. The earbuds look a lot like last year’s not-so-successful Pixel Buds, but only wired. There’s also a USB-C-to-3.5mm converter, along with a USB-C to UBS-A converter. Lastly, there’s a charger with a USB-C port along with a charging USB-C-to-USB-C cable, supposedly sticking to the USB-PD standard of fasting charging. Once the phone is unboxed, the video goes on to show some close-ups of the smartphone, revealing a slimmer glass band on the top part of the phone in comparison to the Google Pixel 2XL. We also only see a single camera on the back, confirming once again that Google won’t be jumping on the dual-camera bandwagon anytime soon. The video goes on to show the hand model take some selfies, which are shown in the video as camera samples. You can watch the video below. Google is expected to reveal the Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3XL later this year in October, but it would seem like there would be little to show in terms of hardware. A leak of this magnitude of a device this popular has not been seen in the smartphone world since a careless engineer left a prototype iPhone 4 at a bar. While it was initially assumed that Google might be behind the earlier leaks, it is increasingly looking like that is not the case. According to 9to5Google, a Ukrainian black marketeer might be responsible for all the leaks of Google’s next flagship. The seller communicates via Telegram and has been offering Google Pixel 3XL units to buyers for $2,000. Interestingly, Google and Foxconn’s legal and security teams have also become involved in the investigation as the Ukrainian black market dealer isn’t the only source of illegitimate Pixel 3XL units. No doubt this is a major fiasco for Google as the early leaks could do as much damage as they could good for the upcoming flagship. Hopefully, the company would have more to show about the device than we have seen in the unboxing video. Interestingly, so far it is only the Pixel 3XL that has been leaked while the Pixel 3 has received little attention and efforts.
