BSNL extends Monsoon Offer to provide 2GB additional daily data on select prepaid plans

Ramping up the competition, BSNL has extended its 'Monsoon Offer' under which users will get to avail 2GB of daily data on select recharges. As per TelecomTalk, the offer can be availed when a customer recharges from 10 of the telco's most popular recharge options and the validity of the offer has been extended till September 15. 

The offer is applicable on the prepaid recharges of Rs 186, Rs 429, Rs 485, Rs 666, and Rs 999. The same benefit of 2GB additional daily data can also be availed with special tariff vouchers priced at Rs 187, Rs 333, Rs 349, Rs 444, and Rs 448, all of which come with a validity of 60 days. Of all the prepaid recharges mentioned above, the Rs 186, Rs 429, and Rs 999 previously offered 1GB of daily data with a validity of 28, 81 and 181 days respectively. 

Now, the total data benefit with the plans has gone up to 3GB per day, while the validity of these plans remains the same. Recharging with the Rs 999 plan, subscribers will also get to avail internet services at 40 Kbps speeds after exhausting the data limit. 

The Rs 485 and Rs 666 prepaid packs previously offered 1.5GB of daily benefits at a validity of 90 and 129 days respectively. Users will now get to avail 3.5GB of data with the recharge plans. 

The Rs 444 recharge now comes with 6GB of data per day and a validity of 60 days.  Along with the additional data benefit, all the prepaid packs that fall under the 'Monsoon Offer' come with unlimited local, STD, and roaming calls. One would also get to avail 100 SMS per day. The offer was introduced by BSNL to take on Jio’s “Double Dhamaka” offer, which ended on June 30.  

BSNL had previously introduced a new prepaid plan priced at Rs 75 called ‘BSNL Jeevitha Prepaid Plan.’  Under the recharge, users would get to avail unlimited voice calls, 10GB data and 500 SMS for 15 days and the plan’s validity can be extended up to 180 days by again recharging with Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs). However, the plan is said to be available in telcos Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle. You can read more about the prepaid plan here.
