Leaked specifications of a smartphone that’s believed to be Motorola’s new Android One device, the Motorola One Power, have surfaced on the Chinese certification website, TENAA. According to the website, the model has been registered in China under the model name XT1942-1. Renders accompanying the specifications match images seen previously, giving us more reason to believe that the specifications belong to the upcoming Motorola One Power.
According to the listing spotted on TENAA, the Motorola One Power has a 6.18-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels. While the aspect ratio has not been specified, it’s not very hard to tell that it’s a tall one, possibly 18:9, if not 19:9. In the area of optics, out of three listed camera sensors, two are 8-megapixel units. Sadly, nothing more is mentioned about the cameras. The phone weighs 170g. It is 155.8mm tall, 75.9mm wide, and 9.98mm thick.
The TENAA listing does not mention what exactly is powering the new Motorola device, but does say that it has a chipset with an octa-core CPU clocking at 1.8GHz. If we had to guess, we’d say that’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. RAM options include 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB. Internal storage options include 32GB and 64GB. Expandable storage using microSD card does seem like a possibility on this model. The battery is a notably large 4,850mAh unit. Colour options include black, white, gold, and silver.
The Motorola One Power is believed to be Motorola’s second Android One smartphone. The Chinese brand’s foray into the Google programme began with a variant of the Moto X4. If we think about it, Google’s Android One programme has been seeing a considerable amount of takers in the recent past. Pretty soon, we’ll see Xiaomi’s second Android One smartphone Mi A2 launch in "40 markets" around the world. The other smartphone that eagerly embraced the Android One programme was the high-end Nokia 8 Sirocco. If all that we learn turns out to be accurate, the Motorola One Power will be yet another smartphone Android One smartphone buyers can choose from.
