Huawei is all set to launch its Nova 3 and Nova 3i smartphones in India at 12 pm today. The two smartphones were recently launched in China and are coming to India just a week after the company unveiled its Honor 9N smartphones in the country. Both, the Nova 3 and Nova 3i, feature a full-HD+ screen with a 19.5:9 display aspect ratio and come with quad cameras, two on the front and two at the back. Here's what you need to know about the two new Huawei devices.
Huawei Nova 3 specs: Both the phones, the Nova 3 and the Nova 3i, sport a 3D curved rear glass with the signature ‘phantom’ colour variant that changes colour based on the angle one is holding the phone. The notch is not only for the extra screen area and it now houses an extra IR light sensor for 3D facial recognition. The Nova 3 is powered by the Kirin 970 SoC and it sport a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display that covers 85 percent of the NTSC colour gamut. The device runs on EMUI 8.2, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. In terms of optics, the Nova 3 is equipped with a 16MP+24MP rear camera setup, with a 24MP+2MP stack on the front.
Huawei Nova 3i specs: On the other hand, the Nova 3i runs on the HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC. The Kirin 710 is made with the 12nm process and inherits its AI capabilities from Huawei's flagship Kirin 970 SoC along. It has a dedicated NPU and the company says that it delivers better performance and saves power. For its display, the Nova 3i sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ LTPS panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It also runs on EMUI, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The phone gets a 16MP+2MP camera setup at the back, and a 24MP+2MP dual camera stack on the front.
Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3i Price: The 6GB RAM/128GB storage version of the Huawei Nova 3 costs CNY 2,999 (Rs 30,500 approx) in China, While the Nova 3i is priced at CNY 1,999 (Rs 20,300 approx) for the 4GB RAM/128GB variant and its 6GB RAM/64 GB storage version costs CNY 2,199 (Rs 22,400 approx). The smartphones will be launched as Amazon exclusives in India.
