Google Pixel Watch 2 leak reveals 5 new features that will be an improvement over the original

Google Pixel Watch 2 will see significant upgrades over its predecessor. The key improvements are going to be in its performance and battery life. Here are all the new Pixel Watch 2 features per a recent leak from Android Authority who got it from a source within Google.

Based on this leak, here are the 5 best features of the Pixel Watch 2:

Google Pixel Watch 2 upgrades (Expected)

1. Although the design and display dimensions will reportedly stay the same, Google will be using a Samsung Display and not BOE this time around.

2. It also switches the Samsung Exynos chip with a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 SoC.

3. Another key change internally is the size of the battery. It will apparently be a 306mAh battery. Also since the Qualcomm chip at its heart uses a Samsung 4nm process, a better power efficiency is also expected.

4. A major feature of the Pixel Watch 2 will be its ultra-wide-band connectivity (UWB) which should make it easier to find it if it's lost or stolen, and also a handy way to remotely unlock UWB-compatible cars. If this happens, Pixel Watch 2 will be the first Android smartwatch with UWB support.

5. Being a new flagship-grade smartwatch, the Pixel Watch 2 could also ship with Android 13-based Wear OS 4 out of the box. Some of the benefits you get with this software are dynamic theming support (Material You) and seamless updates.

Google Pixel Watch 2 has been spotted under “Eos” and “Aurora” codenames, which suggest there could be an LTE and a WiFi variant.

Although it is too early to tell and we don’t have any confident information to claim this, some hints in the regulatory e-labels make us believe the Watch 2 could land in India too.
