Qualcomm announces Snapdragon Conquest: Free Fire 2020 tournament with total prize pool of Rs 50,00,000

Esports has become quite big in India and we have seen a drastic rise in the number of tournaments held in the country. Qualcomm is the latest big name to enter the arena with the Snapdragon Conquest tournament. The tournament is a part of the company’s first mobile Esports initiative in India.

Snapdragon Conquest tournament Details

The Snapdragon Conquest tournament is expected to encompass multiple events with many different competitive game titles. The tournament starts with Snapdragon Conquest: Free Fire 2020, which will see teams duke it out in Garena’s popular mobile battle royale game.

Rajen Vagadia, Vice President, Qualcomm India Private Limited and President, Qualcomm India & SAARC, said, “India is a mobile-first industry. The phenomenal rise of mobile gaming in India is driving not just the demand for better devices in the industry but also the need for a richer ecosystem and more diverse opportunities for mobile gamers. The Snapdragon brand is known for delivering superior gaming experiences. Our work with the larger ecosystem of OEMs, game developers and publishers, is helping us learn and provide an upgraded gaming experience across multiple price tiers. We are really excited about the launch of Snapdragon Conquest, our new gaming program. With Snapdragon Conquest, we are creating a community that challenges the competitive skills of gamers, allowing us a deeper understanding of the gaming needs of all our users in India.”

Registration, prize money and dates

Details about the Snapdragon Conquest: Free Fire 2020 tournament are still sparse, but we do know that gamers will be competing for a total prize pool of Rs 50,00,000. Further, there is no entry or registration fee charged for participating in the tournament and everyone will be free to participate.
