Realme has launched its first 5G smartphone, the Realme X50 5G in China. The handset comes with a 120Hz display refresh rate. While many of the key specifications were already confirmed by the company or were leaked online, the phone has been officially introduced today. Moreover, the company has introduced the X50 5G Master Edition created by renowned Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa in Black and Gold versions, inspired by Points and Lines.
Realme X50 5G features a 6.57-inch (1080 × 2400 pixels) Full HD+ 20:9 LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 7nm EUV Mobile Platform, paired with Adreno 620 GPU. It comes with 6GB / 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB / 256GB (UFS 2.1) storage option and 12GB LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB (UFS 2.1) storage model.
On the optics front, Realme X50 5G sports a quad rear camera setup: a 64MP camera with 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size and f/1.8 aperture + a 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.5 aperture for up to 20x hybrid zoom + an 8MP 119 degree ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.25 aperture + a 2MP 4cm macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. It can capture 960fps slow-motion videos as well. The smartphone comes with a dual 16MP + 8MP selfie shooter.
Realme has partnered with NetEase Cloud Games, a company that offers cloud-based mobile games that can be played through a single app without downloading each game separately. However, this could be a China-only feature. There’s also an 8mm copper conduit for conducting the heat away from the motherboard.
Realme X50 5G packs a 4200mAh battery that supports 30W VOOC 4.0 charging technology. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone comes with USB Type-C audio, 1216 Linear Speaker, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio certification.
Realme X50 5G price starts at 2499 Yuan (Rs 25,800 approx) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
