CES 2020: Alienware unveiled its first portable gaming system called the Concept One, resembles a beefy Nintendo Switch

We all know that Alienware are one of the bigger names in the gaming laptop and rig market but the company has now branched out and given us a portable gaming system. Yes, you heard that right. Alienware have just announced the Concept UFO portable gaming device at CES 2020. The device is still a prototype but, if we’re being honest, it looks like a beefed up Nintendo Switch. It even comes with detachable controllers and a dock to connect the system to a television. The Concept UFO runs on Windows 10 and should be able to handle most games that run on the OS.

The Concept UFC can be broken down into four main components. Namely, the eight-inch main unit which consists of a 1200p screen, hardware and battery pack. There are also two separate controllers, like the Nintendo JoyCons, which attach to the main unit using some sort of magnetic function. The final piece of the puzzle is a dock that can be used to attach the two separate controllers to turn it into a single controller.

The device also comes with USB-C ports on the top and bottom which could be used to connect a mouse or keyboard. Nothing has been confirmed as yet but we should be getting a few details soon. Alienware have not given out any real details on what powers the Concept UFO so we’ll have to wait a little longer for that info.
