OnePlus TV is all set to launch in India this month. Several details of the phone have already been made official by the listing on Amazon India website. Now, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has said that the TV will be powered by a custom, Gamma Color Magic processor made by the company. Earlier, Lau confirmed the presence of a 55-inch OnePlus TV model.
Lau took to Twitter to confirm the presence of the Gamma Color Magic processor in the OnePlus TV. He said, “I am proud to share news about the dedicated picture processor for the #OnePlusTV. We built the Gamma Color Magic processor to bring you best-in-class image quality on our customized #QLED TV panel with widest color gamut. Can't wait for you to experience it!”
Moreover, Eros Now has said that it will be partnering with OnePlus for the upcoming OnePlus TV, which means, the Eros Now app will be officially available with the Dolby support on the OnePlus TV.
Yesterday, the OnePlus TV listing went live on the Amazon India website. The TV is confirmed to have a feature a 55-inch 4K QLED display variant with support for Dolby Vision. Further, OnePlus TV will have 8 speakers with 50W output, which will be powered by Dolby Atmos sound.
OnePlus TV was confirmed to run Android TV by the CEO last week. He has also mentioned in the past that the TV will receive software updates for at least three years. Hence, the TV will offer features like access to Google Assistant and the Play Store. OnePlus is aiming to offer the same fast and smooth experience of OnePlus phones for the OnePlus TV.
According to previous rumours, the OnePlus TV could be announced in four different sizes: 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch size variants. It is said to come with voice control and interaction, which means it could be equipped with far-field microphones.
