Airtel Rs 97 prepaid recharge announced with unlimited calling, 2GB data for 14 days

Most telecom operators keep revamping and announcing their new plans in the market to entice and retain customers. Airtel is also trying new ways to one-up the competition and it has now launched a new prepaid priced at Rs 97. The short term recharge comes with 14-day validity and offers unlimited calling and 2GB data during the validity period, along with 100 daily SMSes. However, the new combo plan is available only in the telcos’ select circles of  AP, Telangana and Karnataka. The new plan is listed as a "Special Recharge-STV Combo" on Airtel’s website and it comes soon after the telecom operator announced Rs 129 pack that offers 2GB daily data for a month.

Airtel also recently updated its Rs 1,699 long term prepaid recharge to offer 1.4GB data per day, up from 1GB. The new recharge option comes with a 365-day validity and offers unlimited calling, along with 100 daily SMS and some additional benefits. These benefits include a free subscription to Airtel TV's Premium services, like free access to ZEE5, HOOQ, Norton, along with Wynk Music and cashback of up to Rs 2,000 when buying a new 4G phone.  Vodafone also has a long term prepaid plan that is priced the same and also has a validity of one year. However, Vodafone’s plan offers 1GB of data per day.

Airtel has also revamped the pricing and offers of its 4G Hotspot device. Airtel's 4G Hotspot was previously priced at Rs 1,500 but it now costs Rs 2,000 and there are a couple of new postpaid plans available with the device that can be used to avail a cashback of Rs 1,000 on the purchase of the device. Priced at Rs 399 and Rs 499, the new postpaid plan has a validity of one month and offer Rs 1,000 cashback when a user performs data plan activation with any one of the two packs, on a new postpaid connection.
