PUBG Mobile players in China get to fight monsters in Arcade Mode for Chinese new year

Highlights:  PUBG Mobile version 0.13 is said to be under testing by Chinese beta testers. A gameplay video suggests that Tencent has added monsters to this version of the game. Night mode for Vikendi with Aurora is also seen in the video. A new gameplay mode featuring monsters might soon make its way to PUBG Mobile, if a couple of videos by Rey LAGARTO are to be believed. Spotted first by Touch Arcade, the new feature is said to be currently under testing by Chinese beta testers and adds two new modes for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations. The new modes and addition of monsters are reportedly being tested in the Chinese 0.13 version of PUBG Mobile and it also adds a plethora of new options to the game like a new weapon, new night mode on VIKENDI with Aurora, Chinese year theme locations, Deathcam replay, along with some new animations.  Going by the video, in the new mode where monsters are introduced in-game, players can go up to monster statues that are scattered all over the map. After defeat, these creatures drop loot as well and the video also shows a co-op mode where players team up to defeat a boss monster. There’s no certainty whether Tencent will also bring monsters to other regions as the company earlier released a teaser suggesting a PUBG Mobile-Resident Evil 2 crossover at the tail-end of 2018 PUBG Mobile Star Challenge. It is speculated that while players of the mobile game in China might get to fight monsters, other players of the title worldwide might have to tackle zombies.  The Chinese version also hints that a new weapon called Skorpion might soon make its way to the game. Skorpion is a machine pistol type weapon that makes use of 9mm bullets. There is also mention of the new deathcam replay option in the video, which is also slated to hit the stable version of the game soon. The feature will enable users to check how they were eliminated by their opponent and if learn from it to improve their game.  A recent report on the Mobile version of PUBG suggested that with the version 0.10.5, the game might introduce zombies to the gameplay. The update is speculated to release this month between January 18 to January 20 and could add the MK 47 Mutant assault rifle, which supports the laser sight gun attachment. The G36C assault rifle, which replaces Scar-L in Vikendi map, could also be rolled out for the new map.  Related Reads:  PUBG Mobile teases team-up with Resident Evil 2 in a zombie-filled video PUBG Mobile beta updated to 0.10.0, adds MK47 Mutant weapon, new chat options and more PUBG Mobile beginner’s guide PUBG Mobile advanced guide 6 noob mistakes to avoid in PUBG Mobile Best guns in PUBG Mobile
