If you have an Amazon Echo smart speaker at home, or just any device powered by Amazon’s digital assistant Alexa in India, you can now create personalised skills in a matter of minutes using Amazon’s Alexa Skill Blueprints, a new way to customise Alexa’s responses. Amazon has launched Alexa Skill Blueprints in India which are a set of 30 skill templates spanning across four categories - Fun & Games, Learning & Knowledge, At Home, and Storyteller. The skills and responses you create for Alexa will be available instantly on the devices associated with your Amazon account. For instance, you can can customise Alexa’s responses to questions like “Alexa, what is the best city?" or “Alexa, who has the best sense of humor?” or “Alexa, open My Dad's Story”. You can also share personalised skills for others to use on their own Alexa-enabled devices through email, text, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Recipients will receive a direct link where they'll be able to see details about your skill and have the ability to enable it for use on their own accounts. So how does one go about creating personalised Alexa responses using Alexa Skill Blueprints? Here’s what you need to do: 1. Select the Alexa Skill blueprint of your choice by visiting blueprints.amazon.in. Here, you can browse through 30 Skill Blueprints across Fun & Games, Learning & Knowledge, At Home, and Storyteller. 2. Select the category and Blueprint you want to customise. Each template comes with pre-filled content that can be used as-is or edited as per your preferences. The website even has explainer videos to make it even easier to understand the process of customising an Alexa skill. Users can create as many personalised Alexa skills as they like and there is no limit on the same.
