The handset is likely to launch in two variants - 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. In China, the company launched the Honor 8C in 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, and 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage variants, in Aurora Blue, Magic Night Black, Platinum Gold, and Nebula Purple colour options. The Honor 8C features a 6.26-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the company’s EMUI 8.2. The smartphone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. The Honor 8C sports a dual camera set up on the back with a 13MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and a 2MP secondary sensor with a f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is an 8MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 and a LED flash. With this launch, Honor looks to heat up the mid-segment smartphone market in India by competing with the recently launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro. Realme already has the Realme 2 Pro, and according to Counterpoint Research, Realme has already become the first ever smartphone brand to hit one million shipments within five months of launch across online channels. Asus is also preparing to jump in the fray with the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 as the company recently took a dig at its competitors with a “Pro” moniker suggesting an upper hand in the segment.
