After launching the Honor 7A and 7C (review) in India, the company has now added the Honor 7S smartphone to its portfolio. The new device is Honor's take on bringing affordable smartphones to the masses and the Honor 7S is priced under the sub 10k category, where it goes up against the likes of the Redmi Note 5, Realme 2 and others. Highlights of the new device include an 18:9 display and a 3,020mAh battery that comes with smart battery management capabilities.
Honor 7S Price The Honor 7S comes in only one variant with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It’s priced at Rs 6,999 and will be up for sale on September 14 at 12PM exclusively via Flipkart and Honor’s website. It comes in Blue, Matte Black, and Gold colour options.
Honor 7S specifications The Honor 7S features a 5.45-inch HD+ screen with an 18:9 display aspect ratio and is said to be designed such that it's easier to use with one hand. It is powered by the quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC, which is paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, that can be further expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card.
The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and comes with additional features like app screen-split mode, tap to wake up and a blue light filter enabling Eye Protection Mode. In terms of optics, the smartphone comes equipped with a 13MP rear sensor with PDAF support and LED flash. There is no secondary sensor on the rear but it still supports capturing Portrait shots. On the front is a 5MP sensor.
The smartphone is backed by a 3,020mAh battery, which is said to deliver an entire day of battery life. It skips on a fingerprint scanner but comes with the Face Unlock feature.
