Apple will launch dual-SIM version of 61-inch LCD iPhone model only in China: Report

A lot of rumours around 2018 iPhones have been making rounds on the internet. Recently, we came across a report which claimed that Apple could launch a dual-SIM iPhone this year. The report also mentioned that the most affordable of the three iPhones that the company is expected launch in September will come with an LCD display and a second tray for a physical SIM card. In a new development, a report has claimed that the dual-SIM iPhones will be launched exclusively in China. Famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already claimed that Apple will launch a dual-SIM iPhone this year. His claims were cemented by the recently-released iOS 12 Developer Beta 5 update which mentioned references such as “second SIM status”, “second SIM tray status” and a “dual sim device”. This suggested that Apple is updating iOS to run a device with support for two SIM cards this year. Further, the “second sim tray” indicates that future iPhones will come with two physical SIM trays. People could use two SIM cards earlier as well: one regular SIM and an e-SIM. Apart from the SIM-related info, the report also says that the 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will have an aluminum chassis. Noteworthy is that the other two iPhones with OLED displays will come with a stainless steel body -- just like last year’s iPhone X. Apple is also expected to launch an iPhone with an LCD display in five colours. As far as the pricing is concerned, Kuo has said that Apple could opt an aggressive pricing and may launch the 6.5-inch OLED iPhone for $900-$1,000, 5.8-inch OLED iPhone for $800-$900 and a new 6.1-inch LCD iPhone will be priced at $600-$700.
