Honor 9N with 19:9 Notch FullView display, dual rear cameras launched in India starting at Rs 11,999

 

The Honor 9N is finally official and in-line with previous reports, the device is indeed the rebranded 2018 Honor 9i, which has already launched in China. The smartphone features an all-glass design and comes equipped with a thin-bezel display with a notch on top. As previously announced by the company, it is a Flipkart exclusive device and is priced at Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM/32GB storage variant. It also comes in 64GB and 128GB of internal storage versions, which are priced at Rs 14999 and Rs 17,999 respectively.  It will be available in Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, Lavender Purple, and Robin Egg Blue colour variants. Let's tell you what the phone looks like in terms of specifications. 

Honor 9N Specs: Coming to the specifications, the smartphone features a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch on top. Notifications are stacked on either side of the notch and it can also be hidden. For its processing needs, the Honor 9N uses an Octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and it comes in the earlier mentioned variants. Coming to optics, the handset is equipped with 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras with an LED flash. On the front, it features a 16MP sensor with 2.0µm pixel sensor size. The Honor 9N's cameras support 3D face conturing, Face Unlock, PDAF and Bokeh Shift features. It also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. In terms of software, the Honor 9N runs on EMUI 8.0, which is based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The entire package is backed by a 3000mAh battery. 

The Honor 9N will get Huawei's GPU Turbo Tech via an OTA update in the future. GPU Turbo is a software update said to reassemble the traditional graphics processing framework at the lower layer system for improving the user experience. Huawei claims that with the software, its devices can deliver faster performance and consume less power at the same time. Huawei also says that even if its device doesn’t support High Dynamic Range (HDR), it will still be able to deliver "outstanding" graphics quality with GPU Turbo tech. We will surely test this claim in our review. 

Honor 9N Price and Availability: One will be able to purchase the Honor 9N via Flipkart starting July 31, 12 noon. The Honor 9N with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs 11,999. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version of the phone will cost Rs 13,999, and the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is the costliest of all at Rs 17,999. Jio customers will get to avail a Rs 2,200 cashback with the device, which will be credited as 44 cashback vouchers of Rs 50 each in the customer’s MyJio App, along with 100GB additional data. Buyers of the phone will also get vouchers worth Rs 1,200 to shop on Myntra.
